Domaine de la Grenaudière                     Ollivier Frères Vineyard

Located on the district of Maisdon-sur-Sèvre, Grenaudière Vineyard stretches on 30 hectares, inherited from several generations of vine-growers. Handed down from father to son since the 17th century, the estate is now property of two brothers whose complementarity is ideal.
Their parents certainly still have their say in the business and play a precious role in the company, henceforth the young generations goes ahead and the future is theirs.

Guy is specialized in the vine-growing and winery work, while Jean-Luc deals with the commercialisation

and the abundant administrative work proper to any viticulture company.

An estate and men
The estate has continually expanded along the years, as much in surface as in growing and maturing technique. With always bearing in mind that these progress and innovations never make us forget to share with amateurs all the pleasure that wine can give.
On the domain, harvest is essentially manual and the method of cultivation respect the soil, the vine as much as grapes. Through our Muscadet, we try to hand down the best expression of soil and authenticity.
The Domain stretches on sunny hills situated between Sèvre and Maine, those two rivers whose give the name of the appellation "Muscadet Sèvre et Maine".
The geological origins of wine are : granitic and clay, with silty and sandy gravel soil. Vines are between 25 and 60 years old, with an average of 45.
The vinification process is made by pressing, settling and fermentation during 15 days at 23°C maximum. The time of maturation is 8 months in glass, stainless steels vats.
Thanks to the character of our land and the natural acidity of our wines, old vintages are our speciality. We make late harvest, we choose the means of the land (low production of old vine, manual harvest, using single natural yeast, extended fermentation) and let slowly wines to maturation.
For commercial needs, we have created a commercial company, which promote and distribute products of our estate. Thus, we sell 100% of our products directly whose 35% "à l'export".
